The task of modern legal education is to train a new generation of lawyers who are able to quickly integrate into the professional community, focused on the universal, humanistic values of a democratic society. Currently, a characteristic feature of the formation of skills, abilities and competencies of graduates of law schools is their practice orientation, legal clinics are actively used as platforms for these purposes.
A properly organized legal clinic provides unique opportunities for:
- improving the quality of legal education by strengthening the practice-oriented component in teaching, improving the skills of university teachers, through the use of interactive technologies and combining theory with practical work;
- training graduates of law schools in accordance with employers' requests and requirements, labor markets;
- formation of a new generation of socially oriented lawyers, education of students in the spirit of respect, principles of the rule of law, justice and human dignity;
- creating conditions for professional orientation, social adaptation and specialization of graduates of law schools, the development of their legal awareness, understanding of the social significance of jurisprudence and the role of lawyers in society;
- the formation of students' personal qualities and the acquisition of practical experience that contributes to their integration into the field of law enforcement and law enforcement agencies;
- establishing close relations with employers, taking into account market demands for the quality and content of training graduates of law schools, and facilitating their employment.
The law clinic was established at VVSU in 2012. The Law Clinic is a complex of modern practice-oriented methods of teaching students under the guidance of teachers and lawyers of the Primorsky Krai Bar Association.
The training activity at the legal clinic is based on a model that provides for working with the cases of real visitors.
The Legal Clinic of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Vladivostok State University informs that free legal aid is provided to citizens of the Russian Federation specified in Part 1 of Article 20 of Federal Law No. 324-FZ dated 11/21/2011 "On Free Legal Aid in the Russian Federation", as well as to other categories of citizens of the Russian Federation who have applied for such assistance.
Free legal assistance is provided in the following types:
- legal advice in oral and written forms;
- drafting of statements, complaints, petitions and other legal documents.
Individuals can apply for free legal aid in person, in writing, or by e-mail. When applying, you must provide a passport.
