"Golden Reserve" and Red Diplomas: VVSU Rector Congratulates the Best Graduates
A formal ceremony for VVSU's red diploma holders took place at Concert Hall. The graduates' first step into their professional careers was celebrated by their professors — now colleagues, institute directors, parents, and creative teams from the university's Youth Policy Department.

Opening the ceremony, Tatiana Terenteva, Doctor of Economics and Rector of VVSU, admitted that seeing off graduates is always a little sad: over four years of study, they have become truly dear to the faculty.

Tatiana Terenteva emphasized that those present in the hall are now fully-fledged specialists ready to work and proudly carry the university's name. In her words, this graduation class is significant: students enrolled at the moment the institution acquired its new name (in 2022, VSUES officially changed its name to VVSU), and they are now the first to write the VVSU abbreviation into their biographies.

"From this moment on, you can proudly write in all your applications: higher education, Vladivostok State University," the Rector addressed the graduates.

Tatiana Terenteva paid special attention to the value of every moment.

"The most valuable asset is time," said the Rector of VVSU, wishing for the students to remember this moment as the starting point of their adult lives. She added that she sincerely hopes everything works out for the graduates, that they will work productively and effectively, making their parents just as proud as they are today.

"All your achievements are their achievements as well," Tatiana Terenteva stressed.

The Rector cited the numbers: this year, one in every four VVSU graduates received a degree with honors (cum laude). Furthermore, she noted that one in four graduates became a holder of two diplomas simultaneously, which is a serious competitive advantage.

The climax of the graduation evening was the presentation of awards to ten graduates who entered the "VVSU Golden Reserve." This tradition is already nine years old — it was established during the university's 50th anniversary. Over this time, 85 brilliant names have been added to the "Golden Reserve." The Rector explained that these awards go not only to those who earned good and excellent grades but also to those who invested in the university's development. These are the students who won at All-Russian scientific conferences, took gold at professional championships, and brought fame to the university on sports arenas. Separately, Tatiana Terenteva thanked the university volunteers.

"This is simply an army of goodness — dozens of events, thousands of grateful smiles, city-wide and nationwide scales! Bravo to you!" the Rector emphasized while presenting the awards to the university's Golden Reserve.

The new educational and production complex "Peremena" is more than just classrooms and workshops. As Tatiana Terenteva pointed out, it is a “place of power” where ideas will be generated and aesthetics created. In the new facility, students will be able to learn professional skills under the guidance of leading instructors, while everyone else will be able to receive services for creating their new looks.
