July 29-30, 2026 a Congress of international and youth services from universities in Siberia and the Russian Far East was held in Vladivostok. Staff members from Vladivostok State University (VVSU) presented their best practices for working with foreign students

Employees of the VVSU International and Cultural Affairs Department delivered a presentation on the life and studies of foreign nationals. The speakers elaborated on student adaptation, as well as their cultural and language education, joint events — including intercultural meetings, festive concerts, competitions, and even interest-based clubs
.
On the first day, the university delegation attended lectures on engaging foreign students in university youth policy, developing the international student community, and other relevant topics. On the final day, they participated in drafting a strategy for fostering interaction between foreign nationals and Russian citizens within the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts.
The congress outcomes were summarized online by Konstantin Malyshev, Head of the Department for International Youth Cooperation and Tourism at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The honored guest thanked the participants for qualitatively new ideas that, in his opinion, will contribute to the development of the country's international youth policy.
The university was represented at the congress by Olga Severianova, Deputy Director of the International and Cultural Affairs Department; Viktor Egupov, Leading Specialist of the Department for Social and Cultural Adaptation; Omar Hamed, Specialist of the Department of International Educational Programs; and Dmitry Iudin, Specialist of the Center for Preventive and Upbringing Activities.
