Following the principle "Spring is a time for new opportunities," students from the College of Information and Creative Technologies at VVSU traveled to China.
Students studying "Technologies of the Beauty Industry" spent the first week of May on an internship in Harbin, developed jointly with the Talent Development Center (Harbin) based at Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Clinic No. 1).
Accompanied by their instructor, Lyudmila Melnikova, the future cosmetology aestheticians gained insights into modern trends in aesthetic cosmetology, practical skincare skills (beauty practicum), and exposure to advanced Chinese anti-aging technologies.
"Such internships are an important step in the professional development of students!" noted Anastasia Pestova and Tatiana Pavlikova, industrial partners of VVSU.
During their stay, participants not only delved into professional topics through meetings and masterclasses but also fully immersed themselves in the country's cultural atmosphere. The itinerary included experiencing a traditional tea ceremony, trying their hand at making Chinese dumplings, and visiting a modern recreation and rejuvenation spa ("Hot Spring").
On May 9th, Victory Day, the students participated in a solemn flower-laying ceremony at the monument to Soviet liberators on Hongbo Square—a deeply meaningful event that united all program participants.
