Life has awakened on the university grounds — it’s the magical time of Japanese sakura trees blooming. We continue our good tradition and share the news about this beautiful ornamental plant at VVSU.
The delicate sakura, unfolding its petals, fills the surroundings with an aura of peace, while the bright forsythia, like a ray of sunshine, illuminates the world with its joyful color.
This year, the Department for Building and Grounds Maintenance has presented the university with a special gift. The “Friendship Flowerbed” has been adorned with generous clusters of tulips. These flowers, like vivid memories, remind us of the original look of the flowerbed, first established in 2002.
The collection of trees in our arboretum has been enriched this year with a rare gem — the Staghorn Sumac, or Vinegar Tree. Its exotic beauty promises to add new colors to the autumn landscape.
It is worth noting that today, more than 50 species of trees and shrubs grow on the university campus, creating a unique green oasis in the heart of Vladivostok.
