Consul-general of the USA in Vladivostok Mrs. Sylvia Reed Curran delivered a lecture to the VSUES students on the topic “Economical, diplomatic and cultural relationship between Russia and the USA at the Far East”. VSUES had created such conditions for on-line lectures that it became possible for the VSUES students of both Vladivostok city and its branch in Nakhodka to meet with the consul-general. The lecture was given in the English language. Mrs. Curran mentioned that she was visiting VSUES not for the first time and it was always her pleasure to be there.
-Mrs. Curran is a frequent guest of our university. It is the second time that she is participating in the program “Visiting speaker” and we always draw full audience to listen to her. By the conference call students of Nakhodka branch of VSUES joined this lecture. They all study English and such meetings are a perfect opportunity to practice the language. This lecture is especially important for the students of the department of world economy and international relations because it concerns their main profile, - mentioned chief of the division of international programs of International relations department Marina Burenok.
