Consul-general of Japan gave a speach to VSUES students

Within the framework of the project “Visiting speaker” which has been carried out in VSUES for several years already, the university was visited by Mr. Ito Nobuaki, consul-general of Japan in Vladivostok. He made a presentation on the topic “Japan and Russian economic relations – Primorski Krai is in focus” for students of the department of world economy and international relations.

- Students take part in such events always with pleasure. They are very useful, no doubt. Future international specialists have a chance to communicate with Russian and foreign experts in politics, economics and culture. I know that the students have prepared many questions to Mr. Ito Nobuaki. They are interested not only in internships and educational programs in Japan, but also in the international politics of the country, - said associate professor of the department of world economy and international relations Alexandra Piginesheva.

Students asked Mr. Nobuaki questions about influence of the former APEC summit on Russian and Japanese relations, signed agreements between the countries and reaction of Japan on nuclear bomb tests in North Korea.

The consul-general told about how Japan had been coming back after the known earthquake of 2012 and once again expressed appreciation to the people of Primorski Krai for their assistance.

- Mr. Ito Nobuaki is one of the most favorite lecturers that we invite and a frequent guest of our university. He always comes to VSUES with pleasure, - said chief of the department of international programs Marina Burenok.
