General requirements for the Russian language courses admission

The university does not conduct admission tests with students who want to be enlisted in the courses on Russian as a foreign language.

  1. Application documents for course admission.
Students are required to fill in the application form and to fax or to mail it to VSUE together with the copy of the first page of a student's international passport. It is highly recommended to submit the required documents as early as possible. VSUE will study them and prepare the invitation to the university which enables a student to receive a visa in the Russian Consulate of his/ her country. In order to obtain this invitation in due time, students must submit all necessary documents a month before the planned time of arrival to Russia.

  2. Confirmation notification and terms of payment.
On receipt of the application form VSUE sends a student a written confirmation of enrollment to the program. Upon arrival within the first day a student is required to sign with VSUE an educational contract and to pay off all fees for his / her delivery from the airport (if such services were used) and to make initial payment for the educational program which includes fees for invitation and registration in the Passport and Visa Department.

  3. Accommodation
VSUE offers its dormitories with single and double rooms. Availability of vacant rooms depends on the period of the academic year. Therefore, rooms must be booked in advance. Students may also seek accommodation themselves.

  4. Support delivery service (Delivery of students from the airport to Vladivostok upon their arrival).
This includes meeting of a student at the airport by VSUE representative and his / her transportation to the university. Transportation from the university is paid separately (15 USD). Payment is to be made in rubles according to the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the RF on the day of payment. Students who plan to take this service are required to fill in the Student's Arrival Form, which is to be faxed to VSUE 7 days before students' arrival to Vladivostok. If VSUE representative failed to meet students at the airport due to student's late notification, non-notifying about deviations en route or desire to use this service, it does not release students from their legal responsibility to pay this service over.

  5. Russian language programs
The course starts with testing which helps to evaluate students' level of language competence and thus group them accordingly. During the study period there are monthly tests that help to estimate progress of all students. Upon course completion students are given a University certificate and a document of achieved course results.

  6. Rules of the University
All students should follow the University rules. A student won't be refunded the educational fees if he/she fails to obey the University's policies and is expelled from the University

  7. Visa
VSUES is entitled to prepare invitations through Vladivostok Representation of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs of the Russian Federation. A student is required to obtain a student visa in the Russian Consulate of your country before departure. A student shouldn't come into Russia on a tourist visa.

  8. Course extension
A student can extend a course period without leaving Vladivostok. The payment for additional classes should be made no later than 7 days before the beginning of the additional course. Students are eligible to commence the additional course only when payment is effected.

  9. Absence at the lessons
A student will not be refunded for missed classes without a proper excuse. He/she also cannot get additional hours for missed classes without a proper excuse.

  10. Responsibility limitations
Neither VSUES nor its representatives are responsible for the cases when VSUES is not able to fulfill its contract obligations due to force major circumstances (weather conditions, labor conflicts, etc.).

  11. Medical insurance
Medical insurance is obligatory for the period of study in Russia. A student can buy medical insurance after his/her arrival. If a student wants to get medical insurance in his/her country, he/she should submit it to VSUES representative immediately after arrival. Neither VSUES nor its representatives are responsible for injuries, damages, illnesses or other problems related to people and things unless they are stipulated in the contract.
